THE PROGRAM
This is a simple calculation program which has two options for calculating, multiple calculations and single calculations, the program opens with the option set for multiple calculations, this setting can be changed from the programs preferences.
Either a period "." or a comma "," will be used as the decimal place setting depending on what your computer numbers control is set for.

The "Copy" menu item is funcional for copying text from the "Total field" with simple calculations and from the "Auto Calc" field in nultiple calculations, the "Paste" menu item will paste into the main readout field, you can use the contextual menu to Copy from the various fields.
Multiple calculations.
With this setting you can make multiple mathematical calculations one after the other, these calculations can be viewed from the text field tape at the bottom of the calculator window, the text field tape can be printed out from the calculator window or saved to disc as a Simpletext file. Use the "C" button, push once to clear your last entry or push twice to clear all of the fields.
Double clicking over any entry in the "Paper roll" will copy that amount into the main calculator field.
Single calculations.
With this setting Econ Calculator auto calculates the calculation as the values are entered, you can clear the last value entered using the "C" button on the calculator then enter another value or change the calculation type and enter another value.
General
It is possible to change to single calculations midway through a multiple calculation and then return to the multiple calculation and continue, Econ Calculator will remember where you left off.
The return key and Enter key can be used as well as the "=" key to make a paper roll calculation.
There is the option of having an "Auto calc" field while working in multiple mode, this can be enabled from the preferences window.
You can format for 0.0 or 0.00 and round values down from 1 to 8 decmal places, this can be set from the preferences window.
The delete button deletes the last digits entered digit by digit.
Sounds
The default setting with this program is for sounds set to On, this setting can be changed from the program preferences window, there is also the option of using only the sounds on number keys and or error sounds only. It is recommended to have all sounds except error sounds switched to off if you are using system sounds in the operating system appearance manager control, although having both the computer sounds and the program sounds on will not effect the function of the program.

To date this program is available in versions of English Spanish, Italian and French.

THE INSTALLATION
Just drag the "Econ Calculator " files onto your desktop from the CD or if downloaded just double click to open or decompress if the files are compressed. It is recommended to keep the program in your Applications folder although keeping it in another location will not effect the running of the program.
To replace your computers operating system calculator with the Econ Calculator is simple, once you have decided where to keep the application you should then make an alias of it, drag or move the alias to the "Apple menu items" folder that is stored inside the "System" folder, when you select the "Apple" menu the icon for Econ Calculator will be in the menu list. To make an alias of a program you need to select the program by clicking over it once then select "Make Alias" from the "File" menu or when the program file is selected press "Command M". Once you have installed the alias in the Apple menu you can delete the original operating system Calculator, or keep them both.
INTERNET
Note: If you do not have an internet connection set up when pressing any online links or menu items the browser you have installed will open and not be able to connect to the linked page, if you have no browser installed then nothing will happen when clicking these links. You do not need to have an internet connection to use this program it is only needed to connect to our online User Guide, the program links are not enabled for 68k computers and any address will need to be typed into a browser.

This version of Econ Calculator functions with a minimum of 1624k of memory but the Suggested memory size is 2124k, this is set 400k higher due to the memory demand needed for certain printers. This program has its memory setting to the suggested size.
This version will is not Mac OSX compatible.
Econ Calculator 68k
Classic version, a 68k Macintosh or Power Macintosh with Mac OS 7.6.1 and above.
This version of Econ Calculator functions with a minimum of 2124k of memory but the Suggested memory size is 2524k, this program has its memory setting to the suggested size.
This version will is not Mac OSX compatible.
